Ian – Galiteia
Mark – Atan
Jon – Suha
Tim – Threevius
Having agreed in the last session to wipe out the mutant Scabscales that bedeviled the Weeping Halls, the party is suddenly (and mysteriously) joined by Skeep the Noise Marine. Quickly they set off for the mutant camp and are “totally surprised” to find a swarming ambush. Nonetheless, the party makes quick work of the mutants and returns to the Weeping Halls with their heads.
Having satisfied the Liege of their completion of the assigned task, he bestows upon them Glurg, his bodyguard Ork and sends them off in the tunnels to pursue the Tyrant’s Cord.
The Warband enters the tunnels and ignores a few sidetracking options, as Atan picks up the scent of the Cord’s possessors early on. Then they come across a group of Eldar, led by the same one they had seen from afar in the Weeping Halls (last session). After a brief, rude exchange, things escalate because… well, Atan hates hates hates the Dark Eldar, mostly. The battle is brief and the Eldar are routed eventually, cut down before the Mandrake can flee through the portal (which is turned on, as the hoped to escape). During this battle, Glurg is too stupid to get out of the way of the flamer and is set on fire, which causes him to attack Threevius, at which point he is slain and Suha fulfills her dream of eating his heart— though she throws most of it up almost immediately…
Making their way up through an old ruined tower, they party attains the roof and is ambushed by the holders of the Cord. After a pitched battle that slays two of their attackers, a shuttle lands and the two surviving opponents are allowed to withdraw but only after the party has stripped the cord (and the Plasma Gun) after one of the dead attackers. (Other spoils of war: Legion Power Sword and Space Marine Gland successfully dug out by Galateia.)
Having fulfilled all 3 secondary objectives of the compact, all party members receive 6 Infamy. In addition, Suha and Threevius fulfilled their personal goals and each got a d5 Infamy award.
Additionally, there are two xp methods the book discusses, and I’m going to go with everyone gets 500 XP a session.. so (not counting the first character creation session), XP as follows
Suha, Galateia, Threevius; 1000 xp
Skeep, Atan: 500 xp
